In younger days of our lives, there was this mobile game called Subway Surfers. It was a rage, "the game", the stress buster and time pass. To say we were addicted, was a mild way of saying it. We were at it all day. Some junior beat your score, you beat some senior. It was out there. Meetings with the Big Boss happened. In narrations, unknown to her, we were playing. She thought we were just texting. We nearly got caught like at school, but who cared? As long as you beat them all.

So what was Subway Surfer? It was one up on Temple Run, It was a railway vandal/s, who is vandalizing property, get caught by the cop and to escape he/she has to run. He/she gets many coins on the run as well as power-ups and the run is between tracks. It was fun and exciting and addictive. More than that, it holds memories from time immemorial.

Fast forward to now. Time passed. New games came and SS became a has been. Just two days ago, I suddenly discovered it on one of my devices. With my partner in crime, my 4 year old, I started to play it. She of course wanted to know what it was. So I tried explaining, with only a loss of words to describe the main character. A Vandal. How can a Vandal be a hero. To be fair, other games we play are tennis, golf and Home Scapes!

Then as I was thinking fast for smart words, all while my fingers fiddled with the game(amazingly I hadn't lost my dexterity of the game I noticed in passing), she was observing the game and pat came the observation : Why is this person running on tracks? I was hemming and hawing , as she said "You said never to walk on tracks and here they are running," Then her face turned red and she said "These are bad people doing bad things... and the train will hit them. Mamma this is a bad game!" Off she slid off my bed and walked off.

Judgement was given. Wasn't that wrong actually! I thanked my stars it was just the track running that met her disapproval. Imagine if she had even know how bad Vandals are! We adults thoughtless indulged in a game with all "bad things." , the train track runner, the vandalism and reveled in it! Competed to levels of madness.

Yeah in our adult-ness, we did forget the basic funda of the character and setup was actually not a good life lesson! In spite of the cop and the trains running as danger!

Yup. Kids do see more deeply than we do! Child Lens at work I believe !
