Move over time, when you were divided into two categories : HAVES and HAVE NOTS.
Now its Dabang and Darpok. Who has what and has not what I don't want to comment. But clearly there is no MIDDLE OF THE PATH here.
Lets explore the Dabang first.
They are the ones who have been "fearless" from day one. They don't believe in lockdown or the restraints and constraints of the rules. They are invincible, and know that they won't affected. Either lucky or strong on immunity, nothing really does happen to them. They are the ones that update you on the status of the city and colony, daily. A little more and they could well be the newspaper of the locality. Up to Date and how! Always "in touch" with reality. Richer than the rest. Clearly. Remember they spent no money on sanitizers, gloves or masks! Instead they took flights around the country,SIGHTSEEING. See everything is cheaper now na. Also whatever little the hospitality business is flourishing, its thanks to them. They also order from restaurants. After all, with so much gallivanting, how can they have time for making food. Really. Who can make food daily at home. After all, someone has to take care of the economy also. Did I mention, these are the guys who visited those wine and beer shop lines and everything first. They made it to news and rightly so. Coz aren't they really living it up! After all, we all have one life! Right?
Then is the Darpok. Very boring lot. They read every text, every true and false news, believe every forward, and are stuck up in their house. All statistics is on their finger tips. Talking to them feels like the world is going to end. They really live in the Dark Ages. They sanitize even their thoughts, let alone objects. Nothing is spared from cleaning. All kinds of sanitizers is what they possess. Locked in their houses, not even open doors to the wind, they are self prisoners in their own dens. Some of them have gone to limits of putting up sanitization towers in their not really humble abodes. They fear that "the disease" will knock at their doors. Cleanliness aside, the other thing that resides in their houses is Paranoia. And the beauty is that people in their vicinity, do get infected. Those roam free (being part of the Dabang tribe), but the Darpoks lie deep in their burrows of fear. The upside of these is that they have made themselves self sustained. Their kitchens have become restaurant worthy, their houses playgrounds and gyms. They are the forerunners and main contenders and uses of Video Parties and Conferences. The fun hasn't stopped. They have saved a lot, only to spend it on cleaning solutions. Everyone makes their sky as they please.
In the end, I would say, to each his own. But oh no! That's not the case. There are boundaries each group has... each looks down on the other. In their minds they know it all. Its two sides of the coin. With no middle path.
Woe betide anyone who crosses from one to the other. They are seen as "betrayers" and "traitors". There is a Massive Tug of War for that person.
Choose your side Wisely. If you think middle of the road, keep it to yourself. Hide that mask you might need to do out or the sanitizer. If either party see it, you are sure to be ostracized, one way or the other!
"The disease" has sure changed things. Be careful, as you tred.
