They say Work From Home is the NEW NORMAL. Not so for us. We are Positive Thinkerz. A small company with a new outlook! No no, its not that we are God's Gift to Humankind (in our minds we are, but then that's really another story), we think, I guess now, ahead. So this story starts 6 years ago!

An associate joined me. Lets call her Maggi! For reasons she and I know best. Maggi was an excellent worker, good brain, smart thinker and what not But like all people who are great in their work, they have some drawback. Hers was un-punctuality. We would often be at loggerheads with each other. Sometimes sarcastically. Sometimes on your face. Every three days, we decided not to work with each other.

On the 4th day, I would feel bad at letting go of such a good person and a good professional. And that is when a friend of mine came to my rescue. Lets call her the Angel's Advocate(juxtaposed to the Devil's). She asked me two questions: "1. Why does your generation need everyone to come to office daily, sit, faff for 3 hours. work for half an hour and eat outside food and fall ill? 2. Are you ready to let go of a great worker because she can't make it on time?"

This got me thinking. I had to do a paradigm mind shift change. Our generation genuinely likes to call for meetings when work can be done from anywhere! I called Maggi and gave her the option. The phone was silent for a long time(I think she was jumping with joy and freedom from seeing my Mug daily) and she said ok. The deal was deadlines won't be missed.

Trust me from that day, deadlines weren't missed. Work became better. I was less stressed. She was less stressed. We went on to do some awesome work together.

The only two losers were the Office that was suddenly devoid of people; the auto driver who lost his everyday regular customer.

From phone bills to restaurant bills to doctor bills, all went down. 2015 it was when we started Social Distancing. Clearly I am a past master at this! And a happy one!

We guess we have Angel's Advocate to thank (Knowing her, had she not been in Media she would have made a great lawyer, take my word for that)!

Today when people tell me "How will work happen?" I smile smugly and say "Oh we started this in 2015." I guess necessity is the mother of invention.
