Take me back to a time
When people only masked their feelings, not their faces!
Take me back to the time when outdoors was the norm
Not someplace to go with "With fear"
Not someplace that was sealed every once a year!
Take me back to a world where children could roam free
Where physical schools were the norm
Breaks were something to go out for 30 mins.
Not to stretch from time to time till the next online class.
Where children could run in and out of homes and parks bindaas!
Take me back to a time of Mom group lunchies and playzone visits.
When visitors were welcome at home and taken in with open arms, unmasked.
Where everything was not sanitized and resanitized 100 times.
Take me back to a world where cinemas and malls were dating grounds
Where a dip in the pool was the done summer thing
Take me back to physical music and dance classes
Birthday parties and events
To the Ganpati and Dandia
When seeing hoards of people together
Wasnt a seen as a super spreader but normal socializing.
Take me back to a time of sleepovers and dinner parties at homes.
To a Diwali of fun and frolic, To poojas with office staff in attendance.
Take me back to that time when home was a break from work
Not a longer extended office.
Take me back to a world where the scariest sound was not a cough and cold
Where fevers didnt scare you do to RTPCR tests.
Where bodyache got cured in a day and meant only a bodyache.
A world where steriods and oxygen cylinders werent the call of the day!
Take me not too long back
To that wonderful year called 2019.
To a healthier, less disturbed, less stressed me.
Take me to time when normal people did normal things.
Take me back to a Covid Free World.
