2021 : PARTYING IN A PANDEMIC

Some years come and go, but 2021 is not one of those.

This year will remain close for many reasons.

This year got us through hospitals stays,

With and without Covid

It got us home bound, of our will,

Sometimes and sometimes not

It made us scared

It made angry and then grateful

It made us come close

After keeping us apart

It made us strong

It made us feel what isolation was all about

It showed us what are family was.

Friends stood strong and bonds repaired

We stood firm to say no when we meant no.

This year got us perspective with relief.

This year was the year of the Vaccine

This was the year of the 50 not out.

This was the year, where we partied for one night

With Abandon. To celebrate friends who are family.

This was the year we saw family after two years,

Met and hugged people, like a rare occasion.

We kickstarted work again.

We made family groups to gossip and catch up.

This was the year we learnt

Masked and distanced is how we need to live

Be safe not sorry is the motto for way forward.

This was the year for outdoor locations

Parties and work

WFH was not WTF, was the way ahead

This was the year of weak eyesight

and yet a vision for the future.

This was the year of Ctrl. Alt. Del.

Reinvent. Relaunch. Reboot.

This was the year of

Try and try till you succeed.

This was reforging old bonds

And surging on new paths

This was the year of GET SET

Before the GO.
